Der Meister des Flamenco Diego el Cigala begeisterte beim Festival Pe- ralada mit Songs aus seinem aktuellen Album „Indestructible“. Mit „Moreno soy“, „Amar y vivir“, „Corazón loco“, „Periódico de ayer“ oder „Ratón“ brachte er die Freilichtbühne im Schlosspark von Peralada zum beben. Natürlich fehlten auch die Klassiker seiner vorangegangen Erfolgsschei- ben nicht im Repartier.
Das Album „Lágrimas Negras“, eine Mischung aus Flamenco und Latino- Rhythmen, verschaffte ihm bereits Weltruhm.
Wenn Diego el Cigala (*27.12.1968) singt, dann verkörpert er Gefühl, Ausdruck und Rhythmus: Freude, Wut, Sex, Gefühl, Liebe und Verzweif- lung liegen dicht beieinander. Er berührt die Herzen des Publikums. Seine Augen meist wie in Trance geschlossen strömt ihm der Flamenco direkt aus der Seele.
Seine oft raue, bisweilen sanft leise, manchmal auch laute charismatische Stimme voller Leidenschaft fasziniert und bewegt. Diese Magie gelingt nur den ganz großen Sängern und kaum ein anderer Flamenco-Sänger zieht das Publikum so in seinen Bann wie er.
EL CIGALA kombiniert virtuos Flamenco mit anderen Musikstilen. „Indestruc- tible“ ist sein neuester Crossover aus Flamenco und Salsa der fasziniert, überrascht und entzückt.

At the festival Castell de Peralada, the master of amenco Diego el Ci- gala fascinated with songs from his current album “Indestructible”. With the songs “Moreno soy”, “Amar y vivir”, “Corazón loco”, “Periódico de ayer” or “Ratón” he rocked the open-air stage in the palace garden of Peralada. As a matter of course, classics from his previous successful al- bums were included in his performance as well.
The album “Lágrimas Negras”, a mixture of amenco and latino rhythms, already guaranteed him worldwide fame. While Diego el Cigala sings, he represents feelings, expression and rhythm: happiness, anger, sex, feel- ings, love and despair lie close to each other. He touches the hearts of his audience. Having his eyes mostly closed as if in trance, the amenco ows directly from his soul.
His voice, which is mostly rough, sometimes softly silent and betimes loud, charismatic and full of passion, fascinates and touches the audience. Only big artists manage to create this kind of magic and hardly another musi- cian captivates the audience the way he does.
EL CIGALA combines perfect amenco with other styles of music. “Inde- structible” is his new crossover of amenco and salsa which fascinates, surprises and delights.
